That scale can’t be right!

Hmpf.

I was doing SO WELL.  Really.  Lost 4 pounds!!

Then…I allowed myself to fall into the old habit of making excuses.  My brother came to visit from out of town so of course I had to cook some homemade yummy meals.  And my other brother joined us which meant we’d be sipping whiskey together after dinner.  Dinners out.  No time to exercise because I didn’t want to miss a moment of time with my brother, who I hadn’t seen in years.  You get the picture.

Two weeks ago I easily turned down free bagels at work.  But this past week I not only succumbed to the bagels at work – I even had chili, chowder and apple pie!

Let’s just say the pounds came back on a lot easier than they fell off.

So…lesson learned.  My metabolism totally sucks and I really need to be diligent with healthy eating and exercise if I want to see any sort of results.

On the upside, I got a nice haircut and new glasses.  A “new do” always cheers a girl up.  And with the new specs I actually look and even feel smarter.

I really liked Seattle Sutton because it taught me portion control.  But after this week I’m going to try to do it on my own.  I tend to eat more vegetables and less bread than with Seattle Sutton meals.  Plus, after digging deeper into the challenge of watching where my money is going/paying off debt, I think I can save a bit of cash.  I’ll see how it goes.  If I find I need the portion control help, I may go back to Seattle Sutton. I loved the food and the convenience.

I’m glad I read dreamer Theresa’s post. It was good to witness her successs and once again get motivated.  I totally empathize with dreamer Hope’s recent post – that’s my current situation!!!

C’mon girls, lets do it.  Maybe we can all hit the beach together this summer!!
